🌍 Love Beyond Borders: A Movement Born from Listening

In July 2021, the Ventanas team traveled to La Guajira, Colombia — a harsh, arid region along the Venezuelan border — to meet face-to-face with a growing community of Venezuelan refugee families living in extreme poverty and uncertainty.

What we saw called us to act.

Children were wandering the streets without food, school, or structure. Families were living without clean water or access to even the most basic services. And despite it all, there was hope — a fierce desire to build something better.

From this moment, the Love Beyond Borders initiative was born.

• 💧 The weekly delivery of clean drinking water to the refugee community in Villa del Sur

• 🧒 After-school and enrichment programs that offer children safety, routine, and belonging

• 🤝 The ongoing development of sustainable, locally led solutions to replace temporary aid with lasting change

This movement was never meant to be a one-time gesture. It was always about showing up consistently — with water, with care, with dignity — and helping children reclaim the structure and joy that every childhood should hold.
