Love Beyond Borders

A movement born from compassion. A mission driven by community. A future shaped by the children of Venezuela.

In July 2021, Ventanas crossed the border into La Guajira, Colombia, to meet a community of Venezuelan refugee families surviving without the basics. No clean water. No schools. No safe spaces to be children.

What we found lit a fire in us — and sparked a movement we now call Love Beyond Borders.

It began with a simple but vital act: delivering drinking water each week to over 3,000 children who had none. From there, we introduced something else the kids were craving: structure, community, and purpose. That’s when the idea of a soccer program was born — and it changed everything.

We built a soccer field from scratch. The children formed teams. They learned discipline, teamwork, and resilience. And after every hard-fought practice, they sat together — not just to eat, but to belong.

This was more than aid.
This was dignity in action. This was Love Beyond Borders.

✨ Today, this movement has grown into three pillar projects — each one giving children the tools to rebuild their futures:

La Casita Project 🏠

Our community center and library where kids discover reading, values, music, creativity, and a safe space to be themselves. From literacy to afterschool support to emotional healing through theater — La Casita is the heart of everything we do.

La Mesa Magica Project 🍽️

A magical table shared by many — where every child receives a nutritious lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday. This food program fuels their bodies so their minds and hearts can grow, too.

Equipos Ventanas Project ⚽️

Our soccer and baseball programs offer far more than sport. They create pride, identity, and a sense of direction — and have already led children to compete with teams in surrounding towns. Discipline, teamwork, joy.

And We’ll Never Forget Where We Started 💧

Our earliest projects — like the water delivery initiative and soccer field construction — remain a powerful reminder that small actions create ripple effects. What started with clean water has become a full-blown ecosystem of education, nourishment, and belonging.
