Opening Windows of Opportunity for Venezuelan Refugee Children

We create safe spaces for learning, nourishment, and community—so every child can dream again.

  • We go where children are forgotten—and build something beautiful.

  • Ventanas for Venezuela creates safe spaces where refugee children can learn, play, eat, and belong.

  • Through long-term, community-led programs, we’re transforming hardship into hope—one window at a time.

La Casita Project

It all begins with a space. Maybe it’s just four walls. But inside La Casita, it becomes a place where children read, create, and dream again.

  • It all begins with a book. Maybe it’s the first word they read. Maybe it’s the start of a future filled with possibility.

  • It all begins with a lesson. Maybe it’s about teamwork. Maybe it’s learning to respect, trust, and care for each other.

  • It all begins with a stage. Maybe it’s a child acting out their story. Maybe it’s their first moment feeling truly seen.

Equipos Ventanas Project

Equipos Ventanas uses organized soccer and baseball to build confidence, discipline, and community for refugee children through teamwork, structure, and healthy competition.

  • Children participate in organized soccer and baseball teams with regular practices, games, and coaching — building discipline, routine, and life skills on the field.

  • Wearing a uniform, representing a team, and celebrating progress helps children reclaim confidence and feel like they truly belong to something meaningful.

  • Beyond sport, Equipos Ventanas builds friendships, trust, and emotional healing — showing children that joy, teamwork, and shared goals still exist in their lives.

La Mesa Magica Project

La Mesa Mágica provides nutritious lunches and dinners to refugee children in Villa del Sur — fueling their bodies, focus, and futures, five days a week.

  • Children receive two fresh meals each weekday — lunch and dinner — ensuring they can focus, grow, and show up with energy and purpose.

  • Meals are cooked by local women and volunteers, creating both nourishment for the kids and economic opportunity within the refugee community itself.

  • La Mesa Mágica builds community. Children gather, share, and bond — reinforcing structure, dignity, and a sense of belonging around every shared plate.

Closing the Water Gap

The Closing the Water Gap Project brings clean, reliable water access to Villa del Sur — improving health, hygiene, and dignity for every child and family.

  • We’ve delivered over 800,000 liters of clean water since 2022, providing life-saving hydration and sanitation to hundreds of displaced families and children.

  • We’ve installed community tanks and formed a water committee to empower local families to manage, distribute, and expand their own access long term.

  • We pair clean water access with training on hygiene, water safety, and sustainability — creating lasting health benefits beyond the basic need to drink.
